Emotive vocals, sultry song-writing and superb melodies fuse to form dark RnB Soul, reminiscent of BANKS and Delilah. A native of Leeds, UK, Kymberley Kennedy was first introduced as a guest vocalist for several acts - including break beat DJ A.Skillz - featuring on releases for Finger Lickin Records, Bombstrikes and Rocstar.
Kennedy released her debut EP, "The Blackout EP", in 2013. The song, which featured on the US movie Syrup, received play-listing by BBC Radio 1Xtra and Amazing Radio amid positive reviews from the Huffington Post, Fame Magazine and Soundscape Magazine, increasing demand for her services as a featured artist; ASkillz, Cut La Roc, Neon Steve.
In 2014 she released the unofficial album, "Cycles" drawing on themes of love, sex, regret and sorrow with all the melancholy passion of Portishead and Sade. She performed a series of live shows to promote the album and joined Jessie J, Tanika and Rough Copy in session at Maida Vale studios to commemorate Michael Jackson for BBC Radio 1.
"Dead Ringer", a collaboration with DJ ASkillz, won Track of the Year at the International Breakspoll Awards 2015 and also marks endorsement from Renoise, the DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) she uses to write and produce music.
The next instalment, "All I Wanted", which features remixes from Pat Groben, Zephr and LadyBird, is due for release later this year.
